This mallet is intended for gently knocking parts into place, such as wood and steel beams- parts that you do not want to damage.

The mallets are coated with one thick coat of Poly Acrylic and may require more if used in wet or cold environments.

The US Coast Guard and other ships use these to break ice off ship rails. However, these mallets are made of laminated wood and can fail if they get too wet, cold or if they are used with great force.
