Problems Ordering on the web site?

1. Clear your browser history.
2. Update your browser to the newest version.
3. Lengthy street addresses cause errors-use less than 30 characters.
4. Billing and shipping address must match. Send me a shipping address if needed.
5. Credit and debit cards must be coded for internet transactions by your card issuing bank-call your bank to confirm.
6. Note and send me your error messages- or select net 30 terms and call me with your card number.

Order online using our safe and secure shopping cart or call 630-969-1100.  Fax orders to 630-969-9062.  Some items may need time for assembly.

Pricing Prices shown are list price and are subject to change without notice.  Resale pricing is available. You must provide us with a copy of your state resale certificate.  See Reseller Program for details.

Payment methods  The Hammer Source accepts VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS and DISCOVER.  Sorry, no international checks or money orders. We accept PayPal and wire transfer payments. Contact us for more information. 

Sales Tax 7.75% Sales Tax is applicable for orders delivered within the state of Illinois. We do not charge tax for orders shipped out of state. If your Illinois company is tax exempt, please fax or e-mail us a copy of your paperwork. 

Shipping

We will e-mail an invoice (pdf) with your tracking information the day your order ships.

USPS Priority- They say 2-3 days but that is not always true. USPS First Class Mail is slow- Can be 1-2 weeks in the U.S.

Standard shipping is Fed Ex Ground or USPS, whichever costs less. Express methods are available.

FedEx Ground: 1-4 business days.

FedEx Express Saver: 3 business day delivery

FedEx 2 Day: 2 business day delivery

FedEx Standard Overnight: Next day delivery FedEx Priority: Early next day delivery

Home based businesses are charged residential delivery rates by the FedEx or UPS. We reserve the right to request a signature for certain shipments.

 Packages ship from Naperville, IL 60564.

About USPS: We will ship USPS when requested (or required with P.O. Box or APO/AE addresses).

You can also file a missing mail claim at https://www.usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm.

SOMETIMES, if you contact your local Post Office, you can get better results. Otherwise, SUCK IT UP and USE FedEx!

International shipments - Standard shipping is US Postal Service Priority Mail. The Postal Service states that transit time is 6-10 days from when your order is shipped and it is approximate. Shipping rates do not include duties or taxes.
FedEx to Canada- rates do not include duties, taxes or brokerage fees. Here are duty estimates as of 8-19-21:
Returns The Hammer Source provides its customers with the best products possible. We describe our products as accurately as we can. Returns will be accepted if the following conditions apply:

- We must be notified in advance when you want to make a return or an exchange.  Call us or e-mail sales@hammersource.com.

- We will only accept new, unused, unmarked merchandise with original stickers intact.

- A refund of the amount paid for the item(s) will be made upon receipt of the returned items. We regret that shipping charges are final and non-refundable. Restocking fees may apply to certain returns.

- It is the responsibility of the buyer to ship items to be returned.

Our Email Policy- We send emails to update you on the status of an order, notify you of an order shipping, and a follow up to make sure you received your order and everything is OK. We now also send out newsletters and sale notifications. If at any time we've sent an email you don't want, we'll give you the option to opt-out of any updates. You'll still get a notification when you order, that's automatic.

Privacy Notice This website uses the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our site. It could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our site, for example using the contact form to make an enquiry. I am not an Amazonian giant and your order will not mystically appear by drone tomorrow.

Many items are assembled when ordered- Brass, Copper, Malleable Iron, Wood and others.
With 1500 items, I don't always have everything in stock. If out-of-stock, I will ship you what I have and contact you about shortages. I am usually able to ship out-of-stock items in about a week.
Your payment is captured and finalized ON SHIP DATE- Until then, YOUR bank holds the purchase amount.
