Halder 3408 Steel Punch with Replaceable Nylon Faces .4" to 2" (10mm to 50mm)

Halder's 3408 drop-mallets sizes ranging from 10mm to 50mm diameters.

Drop-mallets are soft-face mallets without a handle, allowing the user to hold the hammer head directly in the hand. Suitable for use where limited accessibility makes it impossible to work with a mallet. Drop-mallets are also ideal for applying exactly the amount of impact force that is needed for striking the workpiece with perfect precision and for working with minimum force.

These puncehs are fitted on both ends with replaceable, noise-dampening, very wear-resistant and splinter-proof heads made of special nylon.

They are non-rebound tools thanks to their steel shot filling. The resulting effect is that the energy of the steel shot is transferred with a slight delay when the mallet's contact surface hits the workpiece. The reduced rebound lets the impact energy be absorbed with perfect efficiency, allowing for work with reduced strain on the joints and low noise.
