Round face is 2 3/4" diameter, slightly convex, beveled and polished.

These heavy-duty hammers are designed for use in striking metal.

The striking face is crowned with beveled edge and is designed for general blacksmith work in striking unhardened metal.

The peins are used for shaping and bending unhardened metal. 

Never use a sledge to strike a hammer, sledge or maul.
